I have always wonder is it possible to just move a house from its current location into another so that one doesn’t need waste money buying another huge bricked box just to put our furniture and sleep inside it. It would be wonderful if we can lift our house up and let it float in the sky in case there’s a flood or when we need to move it to another location. Sounds unrealistic… not quite

I just discovered that people who like to travel are usually people who like to see new things or experience new environments. It’s kinda like how often we change the wallpaper on our computer. Inside of buying another computer so that we can have a different wallpaper, can’t we just buy a house that is mobile enough so that a truck or toll it to another location easily?

You can… I’m not joking. Obviously, many of the world’s talented architects, engineers and technicians are working hard on building a house that can be relocated easily while making it affordable. Take a look at this video…

While it doesn’t look super gorgeous or luxurious, I think in the very near future, houses will be built to be transportable and this can be interesting because we can basically move to anywhere we want provided that there is space available to move our house to. It would be so cool if we can just sleep or relax in the house while the truck toll our house to our new destination. The only thing that bothers me though is water and electricity… Obviously for power, some kind of connectors will be needed to connect the electricity into the house. For water, connect some kind of huge pipe into the house plumbing system.

I think the locations in which we can move to and enjoy all the conveniences of a modern home is only possible if the areas are designed specifically for transportable homes. But then again, you can always get your own power generator and water too, can’t you?
